Humans of SD – Franki Coleman

By Kasen Khansarinia, Staff Writer

“Having ACL surgery my sophomore year and that being the reason I was stalled from playing the sport I love for about a year. I felt frustrated and sad because I knew it was going to be a very difficult recovery and was going to take everything out of me and I knew I didn’t have a lot of people to help get me through it at the time. Mainly because we weren’t in school due to COVID, I had disconnected myself from a lot of people. I’ve learned that not everything goes as planned and being able to work through changes no matter how hard or easy they may be is a really important thing to understand to be able to succeed in life.” – Senior, Franki Coleman
