“Music has been a passion of mine since I was about 6 years old. In 4th grade, I was finally able to join band and I started off as a woodwind player which was not where I wanted to be and It just didn’t feel right. Then in about 6th grade, I asked the music director if I could join the percussion section, and then it clicked and just felt right for me. I saw the high school band perform during a parade and it looked so awesome to me, so when I became a freshman I signed up for drumline and fortunately made it. Now I’m battery captain and drumline has been like a second family to me and I’m so happy to be a part of this group making music as I’ve always wanted to.”
