Senior Trip Guide

What will the Class of '23 decide on?

February 28, 2023

While the Class of 2023 prepares to send off for the next chapter in their lives, it wouldn’t hurt for the Saints to squeeze in one last trip with their friends to celebrate the end. But the question is… where should the destination be? From places from Santa Barbara, California to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the possibilities are endless. The question the grads must ask themselves is whether they want a beach vacay, a day in the city, or a breath of fresh air high up in the mountains.

Discussion by some students in the Class of ’23 has sparked a wide amount of ideas to choose from. Senior Class President, Cora Averweg, expresses how, “Cabo, Mexico would be the perfect destination.” Cabo San Lucas is a beautiful destination as it includes beautiful beaches, all-inclusive resorts, and the perfect opportunity to get one’s summer tan back.

But if beaches aren’t the ideal spot, there is always another option. Fellow Senior, Cade Tsonas, mentions how “a trip to Lake Havasu with all of our friends will be the perfect weekend. Riding around on boats, cruising on Jet Skis, and watching the sunset on the lake.”  Lake Havasu is a popular destination for those that want to enjoy their time on the water and rewind in a lake house while spending quality time together.

Finally, New York is also another senior favorite destination. The Big Apple is the perfect area to experience life in the city. Isaac Ortega (12) mentions how “New York City will be his choice of vacation destination to kick off such an accomplishment.” New York has everything from extravagant shopping experiences to many restaurants with different cuisines of food. There would be a good time to snap an aesthetic photo for your Instagram feed.

From all of these destinations, the Saints will have to pick and choose which trip is in their best favor and what they think will create memories that’ll last a lifetime.
