BREAKING NEWS: Selena Gomez vs. Hailey Bieber. Rare Beauty vs. Rhode. Justin Bieber’s wife and ex-girlfriend have had all eyes on them due to the recent posts, tweets, and pictures that have come to light in the past weeks. Many questions arise after multiple pieces of evidence have broken the internet. As the internet picks apart the evidence, people, including other celebrities, as well as San Dimas Saints, have started to take sides. 

Selena Gomez is known as an actor, musician, and beauty company owner. As a teenager, Gomez starred as Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place and then went on to release songs like Love You Like a Love Song, and Same Old Love. Now Gomez is recognized for owning the fast-growing, trending makeup company Rare Beauty. Before Bieber married his wife, Gomez and Bieber dated on and off from 2010 through 2018. This beloved couple came to an end in 2018 when Hailey and Justin got married. 

When 2018 came around, Hailey Bieber gained popularity when she married Canadian musician Justin Bieber. Now she is known for her modeling in Guess and Ralph Lauren, and recently launched her beauty line, Rhode Beauty, which has become very popular due to its affordable price. 

Recently, Selena Gomez became the most-followed woman on Instagram with 397 million followers, surpassing Kylie Jenner who has 380 million followers.

When this happened, it raised questions of what reaction Kylie was going to give the world; unfortunately, her behavior has caused her to continue to lose followers. Huge celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, and Rihanna have joined in unfollowing Hailey Bieber. Gomez had posted a video on a social media platform laughing at herself for over-laminating her eyebrows on accident; Jenner and Bieber took it upon themselves to give a discreet response to this video by posting on their Instagram stories a picture of their eyebrows while on a facetime call together. While the celebrities brushed this over, claiming it had no intention of targeting Gomez, more evidence has transpired.

In a rap battle show Drop The Mic, Taylor Swift’s name was mentioned in the presence of Bieber; as a result, Bieber felt the need to gag on her finger after the name was mentioned. As this video resurfaced, Gomez commented on the video, addressing the hate towards her beloved best friend Swift. Gomez comments, “So sorry. My best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.” Like a true best friend, Gomez defended Swift and doesn’t lie when saying she is “one of the best in the game.” Just look what happened when Swift’s Eras Tour tickets got announced. 

Recently, fans have been comparing Bieber and Selena and noticed too many coincidental similarities. Whether it be the “g” tattooed behind their ears, the similarities between Gomez’s promise ring and Biebers ring finger tattoo, or the fact that they just happen to release youtube videos that are just too similar, it is clear the evidence speaks for itself. 

As the drama continues, Justin Bieber stays quiet. While performing at Rolling Loud, a disrespectful chant started about Hailey Bieber. As expected, Justin Beiber has continued to stay quiet, failing to defend his wife. As embarrassing as this is, it only gets worse. In his 2020 interview with Demi Lavato, he says, “Looking back now, I’m like, it was definitely an arranged marriage. Like, they set this whole thing up.” He also comments on the fact that he does not regret any of his tattoos, which means he does not regret the Gomez angel tattoo on his arm. 

As the Saints watch the story unfold, some have chosen sides. When asked whose side they picked and why, Senior Faith Gutzke said, “Selena obviously. Hailey is insecure about her relationship, which is why she copies Selena.” She also speaks for a lot of Jelena fans and says “Selena and Justin will always be superior and cuter.” Another Saint, Leilani Ignacio is also on team Selena. She defends her choice when saying, “Hailey’s jealousy and pettiness have gotten her nowhere besides tearing her own image down.” Unfountly, in this case, not all publicity is good publicity.
