On April 11th, 2024 Boys Varsity Volleyball played against West Covina for their senior night. During the game, San Dimas Boys Volleyball won all three sets making the score 3-0 and honored their seniors before the game had started.
At the start of the game Seniors Daniel Gonzalez, Nick Tatevossian, Deagan Tran, Kendrick Lin, and Andrew Robles were walked down by their families and given a gift to commemorate their participation in the team for the 2023-2024 school year.
Senior Daniel Gonzalez was accompanied by his mom, and talked about how his first year on the team was and how the rest of his teammates welcomed him. Gonzalez says, “On the court we like to talk a lot, have fun, play games in the middle of the practice, but off the court we love to go off at lunch and eat food together”. The welcoming that the rest of the team gave to Gonzalez was no surprise. He also mentions that his predictions for next year’s season of Boys Volleyball will be stable, saying that “staying calm, keep playing, and with their good attitude they will turn out great and continue to get better”.
Senior Kendrick Lin was also accompanied by his family at the beginning of the game and had said that his favorite memory while playing for the San Dimas Boys Volleyball program was, “getting a kill with his shoulder against los altos during last year’s season”. Lin also said that during this year his favorite memory was, “contributing to the team, winning league, and committing to San Diego Miramar college to play in the fall”.
This year the San Dimas High School Volleyball program was led by captains Senior Nick Tatevossian and Sophomore Jacob Pardus. This program started last year and has grown and developed into a welcoming, supportive, and diverse community. The team continues to strive and will grow in years to come, but for now they’re onto CIF to finish their 2023-2024 season.
