To some people, learning new languages may just be some other graduation requirement to them, but some students see beyond this and decide to make the most of having an opportunity in high school school to gain literacy in another language. The importance and helpfulness of knowing multiple languages can be underrated, and sometimes even shamed since the world likes to place a lot of importance on English. As uniting of a language English is, being willing to put in effort to truly learn another language shows how insightful a student is willing to be while expanding their ways of language and communication is general; 11 seniors this year were awarded with the state seal of bi literacy for this type of effort.
Renaissance is not just an awards assembly for San Dimas’ top scholars, but it truly encourages Saints to be the best they can be ad to make the most out of what they have. Most importantly, seniors are recognized for outstanding academic achievement throughout their high school years. Sometimes there are students that aspire for high academic achievements, but without seeing others get awarded for their efforts, those dreams can sometimes seem unattainable. It should be known that everyone is capable of accomplishing whatever amazing thing they would like to accomplish, whether it be academic, artistic, athletic, or anything. Saints deserve to be recognized by the school for their hard work, and Renaissance is an assembly that does so with so much love and so much inspiration.
