Ms. Joelle is now the Head Athletic Trainer for San Dimas. This is her first year at San Dimas and first year as an athletic trainer. Ms. Joelle grew up in the area and which gave her the inspiration to come work here at San Dimas High School.
Ms. Joelle went to high school on the same street as SD as she went to Charter Oak. “I chose San Dimas because I saw that there was a need for the position, even more so I feel like I wanted to be that person to create change for the school, the athletics, and also for the profession of athletic training.” Athletic Trainer Ms. Joelle said, “I wanted to be an advocate for our student athletes here but also for athletic trainers all around the country to showcase our ability and have our athletes showcase theirs.”
Ms. Joelle participated in many sports in her youth such as cheer, soccer, karate, flag football, etc. Which is a part of a reason she wanted to become an Athletic Trainer Ms. Joelle then goes into more detail about why she became a Athletic Trainer “I wanted to be an Athletic Trainer because I felt like it was a calling that I had and I am a proud Christian and so I truly believe that God led me into this career path because I have always been around athletics, and I have always been around healthcare, and it’s the perfect way to put the two together.” AT Ms. Joelle stated. So far Ms. Joelle has fit in perfect with San Dimas she says its been fun and an interesting experience the kids make the job enjoyable all these different personalities and how they grow in their sport and how they grow when coming back from injury.
