“Winning Homecoming Queen was honestly, a really unexpected experience and I was very surprised. When I was standing up there, I was shaking and I didn’t know if it was because I was nervous or cold, or maybe it was both. But, I was standing up there and I didn’t even want to stare at the box because not that it didn’t matter to me, but I was just happy to be on the court. So, I was standing there and they were counting down and then I just looked, after my dad smashed it, and I saw the first balloon and I was just shocked. I didn’t know what to do and I was just so surprised. I was telling my parents the other day that like, I’ve never felt so much love from this school before and like, man, I feel like I’ve really branched out here and have just met so many good people here. It was just a full-circle moment.” – Senior, Priscila Romero
