The Advanced Dance Class performed their dazzling eighth annual showcase in the Bonita Center of the Arts on November 22nd, 2024. A diverse range of dance styles, including lyrical and jazz, kept the crowd engaged for the entire performance. This extravagant performance included songs like Maneater by Nelly Furtado, Sign of the Times by Harry Styles, and other popular songs to add an exciting touch to the evening.

To make this show perfect and unforgettable, the dance teacher, Mrs. Rebecca Ingram, devoted her time to preparing the dancers for this showcase. She gave her dedication and guidance to her students while allowing them to explore and express their creative visions. The talented dancers had time to work on choreography and practice during class, perfecting their routines. “Everyone in this class tried really hard for this showcase,” Junior Lily Sanchez said, showing and proving the effort and passion that went into every performance.

An element that made this showcase so distinctive and special was how creative and original it was. The students in this class created their choreography and passionately showcased their talent and hard work. Each routine showed their expression of creativity and passion. “I liked how every set performed was different and had its own type of vibe,” Sophomore Mia Ayon Said. “It made the show feel unique and kept the audience engaged from start to finish.”

The different music and dance styles were another element of this special showcase. Gimme More and Circus by Britney Spears were the opening and second pieces of this show and it immediately captivated the crowd with its energetic Jazz-style choreography. This vibrant piece beautifully contrasted with the lyrical piece Rise Up, which was performed after the jazz numbers.

Though it was the first showcase of the Advanced Dance Class, the potential and talent displayed by the dancers were noticeable and were on display. Their hard work and dedication were evident in every performance, which left the audience eager to see what they would show and accomplish in the future. As the curtains closed and the show ended, the audience was left with a sense of awe and admiration for every dancer’s talent, dedication, and boldness.
