San Dimas added a new baseball coach to the JV team earlier this week. His name is David Vera. He has around 10 years of baseball experience, having played at Bonita High School and UC Irvine for a few years. He loves coaching and is an excellent coach to be around. He loves to have fun with the team when he can, and he loves it when the team always communicates with him and focuses on the little things about the game of baseball.
Alongside Coach Munoz, the head coach, they make an excellent coaching staff with Munoz with a bunch of baseball experience and coaching experience. Also, Coach David has baseball experience with Munoz helping him with his coaching skills. He describes himself as, “an excellent coach to be around, will always be hard on us, and will always support us no matter what” which is something every player looks for out of a coach because they always want someone who will support them and help them at anything they need help with. He has good expectations for our team expecting us to win the league and win as many games as we can this season. Mostly as an outfield coach, he tries his best to make our outfield as excellent as possible and to not make any errors.
He looks for people who love the game of baseball and care so much about it because he says, “I love players who are willing to work hard at their craft and give me 110% every rep, every day, every game, and every play”. Coach Vera loves to get the team hyped up every practice, and every game, and makes practices and games seem way more fun than it is supposed to be. Adding him to the coaching staff is an excellent addition to the team and our head coach, Coach Munoz, is thrilled to see what he brings this season to the team. Everyone on the team loves Coach Vera and is excited to spend this season with him and is eager to see what happens with him as our coach this year.
