On February 3rd the Saints finish off their last game at home with a 55-19 win against Colony. San Dimas honored 6 seniors this year, Brissa Ayon, Ariana Rodriguez, MaKenzie McMillin, Anelly Alba, Priscilla Romero, and Jaelyn Ramos.
San Dimas had 5 of 6 seniors starting Jaelyn Ramos was sitting out because of her injury. Priscilla Romero was the leading scorer with 16 points with Anelly Alba close behind with 13. Romero also had 5 assists the biggest one being to Jaelyn Ramos who scored her 1st points all season to make her career total 669 points. Jaelyn was also able to get an assist, she has been a key piece of this team for years and was able to be on the scoreboard one more time at home. Priscilla also lead the team in rebounds with 14 earning herself another Double-Double.
The Senior lineup played for most of the 1st quarter building a 12-4 after the 1st quarter. During the 2nd quarter is where the rest of the lineup started playing and they continued the dominance by extending the lead 27-10. They were able to extend the lead but the most important points were scored in the 2nd quarter when Jaelyn Ramos came of the bench to score her 1st points of the season. It was a corner 3 pointer assisted by Priscilla Romero. Coach Jackson immediately called a timeout for the team to celebrate with her. Jaelyn Ramos said about her 3 pointer in the 2nd quarter.
San Dimas came out of the half doing more of the same and extending their lead to 22 with a score of 40-18. San Dimas finished the job with a dominating 56-22 win continuing their undefeated league run. Great game from San Dimas with an amazing all around performance. The top 3 scorers were Priscilla Romero (16), Anelly Alba (13), and Neveah Verdines-Ocain (10). Anelly has been a key piece throughout the season for the Saints racking up accomplishments but her biggest accomplishment doesn’t have to do with stats. “Probably being able to be a leader, and somebody for the underclassmen to look up too. Always being a role model and not let the emotions getting the best of me” Senior Anelly Alba said. She finished her home game career with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 steals.
This win helped the Saints stay undefeated in league play and win it for the 4th year in a row. The class of 25 is the only class that has won league all 4 years “Its definitely really cool to do it especially with my best friend along my side.” Jaelyn Ramos said about the 4-peat. Anelly wasn’t at San Dimas all 4 years but she was able to adapt to the culture on the court but she had other problems when she transferred “Finding classes. The school is a lot different where I came from. its a lot smaller and a lot bigger in a way it is very spread out more its like an adventure” Senior Alba had to say about the campus change. San Dimas went on to win league and lose in the 1st round against San Juan Hills.
