The Walker House in downtown San Dimas was the first house built in this little town. It is now home to an Italian restaurant named Vincenzo’s Tereza. Vincenzo Tereza is a small romantic restaurant that serves authentic Italian food. It has become a hotspot for locals, and I am here to try it and review it!
Vincenzo Tereza has a cozy and elegant ambiance, with lovely warm lighting, clean tables, and friendly staff. The rustic, homey decor transports you straight to the old town of San Dimas, with a hint of Italian influence. The staff was extremely polite and attentive, which created a comfortable dining experience.
Once I was seated, I was immediately asked if I would like water and their complementary bread, the bread was fluffy and a perfect start to my long dinner. The drink that I ordered was a Diet Pepsi, which was bubbly and cold. Our waters were constantly refilled and staff always made sure we had what we needed.
I started with freshly baked Focaccia and Caesar salad for the appetizer. The focaccia was perfectly baked and fluffy, with the perfect amount of herbs and olive oil to complement all the flavors. The Caesar salad had the perfect mix of croutons and dressing, with delicious anchovies topped off with a sprinkle of parmesan. These were the ideal appetizers to start my meal.
Next, I tried the Gnocchi Scampi, one of the most popular dishes. This dish was bursting with flavor, and the vodka sauce meshed perfectly with the perfectly cooked, soft gnocchi. The gnocchi was soft buttery and melted in your mouth the second you ate it. The creamy and smooth sauce paired well with parmesan and dried parsley. Each bite was velvety and rich, making it apparent why this is a customer favorite.
For dessert, the tiramisu was calling my name. This tiramisu was more coffee-flavored cake, unlike the typical ladyfingers you’d expect a tiramisu to have. The chef topped this dish with light and fluffy sweet cream and the perfect amount of cocoa sprinkled evenly around the top. The flavors exploded in my mouth and were indeed a satisfying dessert. It was love at first bite!
Overall, Vinecos Tereza exceeded my expectations. The romantic, homey ambiance and delish food sold it all for me. The dish I would reorder over and over is the Gnocchi Scampi, with its rich and velvety flavor. And the tiramisu was to die for. Vincenzo Tereza is a staple that everyone in San Dimas must visit. Whether celebrating a birthday, going out for date night, or simply wanting great Italian food, Vincenzos Tereza is perfect for it all.
