Saint Scroll: What are your main priorities for the school year as ASB president?
Jacob Pardus (11th): My main goal for this upcoming school year is to truly give our staff and students what they want at SDHS. The associated student body, ASB, included every student on campus, therefore all of their voices and opinion’s must come into play when making decisions.
Saint Scroll: What types of events do you hope to better the upcoming year?
Jacob Pardus (11th): All of the events put on by our leaders on campus have room to improve, but I think bringing a Winter Formal to San Dimas would please many many students and reach out to different groups on campus.
Saint Scroll: What do you believe is the most important thing a class needs to have a successful year?
Jacob Pardus (11th): Over my past 3 years in ASB, there have been many mistakes and many successes, and each on I have been able to use as a learning experience. Our class will find the most success and growth if we maintain constant communication and respect; this will not only foster great relationships, but it will bleed into the rest of the school.
Executive Vice President: Jayden Hanson (11th)
Jayden Hanson ran unopposed for the position of executive vice president and will serve on the upcoming executive board. Jayden brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the team and is ready to work alongside Jacob to execute their shared vision for the school year. She will ensure that all voices are heard and valued, and that the events put on reflect the interests of everyone.

Saint Scroll: What is your vision for the school year, and do you have any ideas to add/better the events in the upcoming year?
Jayden Hanson (11th): Providing our staff and students with what they desire at SDHS is my top priority for the forthcoming academic year. Since every student on campus was a part of the affiliated student body, or ASB, all of their voices and opinions had to be considered when making decisions.
Saint Scroll: What do you think is the most important quality of an ASB leader, how will you embody that throughout the year?
Jayden Hanson (11th): Although there is always space for improvement in the activities organized by our leaders on campus I believe that hosting a bigger more populated winter or spring dance in San Dimas would appeal to a wide range of students and engage with many campus groups.
Saint Scroll: What specific goals do you have for this upcoming year (for the class or school events in general), and how do you plan to achieve them?
Jayden Hanson (11th): I have made a lot of mistakes and achieved a lot within my two years at ASB, and I have been able to use each event as a teaching tool. If we continue to communicate and treat each other with respect, our class will succeed and grow the most; this will not only create wonderful relationships but also have a positive impact on the rest of the school.
Executive Secretary: Chloe Elguira (11th)
Chloe Elguira also ran unopposed and is thrilled to take on the role of executive secretary. With her strong organizational skills and passion for student involvement, Chloe is ready to help streamline communication and ensure that ASB functions efficiently. Her enthusiasm for next year is contagious, and we can expect smoother operations and clearer communication across the board.

Saint Scroll: Do you have any ideas to add/better the events in the upcoming year?
Chloe Elguira (11th): Yes! I definitely think that we have a good array of activities and events here at San Dimas, but I know we can always push to be better. Some ideas I have could be adding more activities that include team building and interacting with students, especially those who you’ve never talked to before.
Saint Scroll: What goals do you have for the class/or school in general this upcoming year, how do you plan to achieve them?
Chloe Elguira (11th): Some goals I have is definitely making San Dimas more welcoming and inclusive to all. I want everyone to find their place here, whether it be in extracurricular like sci-oly or event track and field, which is where I found my family.
Saint Scroll: What do you think is the most important quality of an ASB leader, how will you embody that throughout the year?
Chloe Elguira (11th): The most important quality of an ASB leader is duality and consistency. To be someone who is efficient in ASB means to be someone who can connect with others on a personal level but also guide others when they need to be. It means to be kind and honest, but also firm. With consistency, it means that whether you are tired, or even just “not in the mood”, you still carry your weight and responsibility as a leader.
Executive Treasurer: Jocelyn River (11th)
The race for executive treasurer was a tight one, with many applicants like Jocelyn River, Sara Pfonner, and Breonna Bentivenga, all running for the position. After a competitive election, Jocelyn River won the votes of the students and will be taking on the critical role of managing the ASB budget for the upcoming year. Jocelyn’s attention to detail and strong financial acumen will ensure that the board has the necessary resources to execute its plans effectively. Jocelyn will further help create opportunities for new events and student-driven activities.

Saint Scroll: What do you believe is the most important quality of an ASB leader, how will you personally embody that throughout the year?
Jocelyn River (11th): I think that the most important quality of an ASB leader is to be adaptable. That is, to be able to lead different people, in different environments and projects. I will personally embody this by observing the situations around me so that I’m aware of what I need to change or keep the same.
Saint Scroll: What specific goals do you have for this upcoming year, and how do you plan to achieve them?
Jocelyn River (11th): A specific goal I have is to create a finance handbook. This handbook will contain the steps and forms required for budgeting, fundraiser events, etc. I will work with the finance office and publish a PDF for easy access available for everyone.
Saint Scroll: What changes/improvements do you plan to bring to the school environment?
Jocelyn River (11th): Some changes and improvements I plan to bring to the school environment are fresh ideas that will encourage more participation in school events. We can’t go into detail, but everyone should be excited for what the next school year holds for us!
