The Spring Rally on March 21 was a success, as the theme was Jurassic Park. Students packed the gym, excited to see each team’s captains compete in games, find out this year’s CLASH theme, and watch amazing performances from the dance and cheer teams. With dinosaur decorations and exciting challenges, the rally celebrated our spring athletes and teams while also bringing all the classes together to win some CLASH points. It was a great way to start the spring sports season.
One of the first games of the rally was the chair game, where captains from each sport sprinted to claim a chair as the number of seats decreased each round. The competition ended in a tie between Jacob Pardus and Travis, as they kept fighting for the final chair.

Junior Chloe Elguria, an ASB student who played a key role in organizing the rally, shared her favorite part of the experience. “Being an MC for the first time was such a fun experience, and seeing everything come together was incredible, especially the backdrop we worked so hard on. I’m so grateful for my ASB family for pulling it off, and it turned out even better than we expected.”
Another game prepared by ASB was the dinosaur egg throw, where ASB students tossed “eggs” from the top of the bleachers, and each class had to throw them, aiming to land them in baskets on the floor and into the nest. The sophomores won, earning CLASH points.
In the egg relay, captains had to balance an egg on a spoon while racing down the gym and back without dropping it before handing it off to a teammate. Vaughn Coleman’s team ended up coming out on top.

The rally also featured impressive performances from our dance and cheer teams, both of which were entertaining to watch. The cheer team had tosses and tumbling, their routine packed with stunts. The dancers followed up with an exciting performance, showing their coordination.
To close out the event, the CLASH theme was revealed—Five Nights at Freddy’s. Each class was assigned a character: freshmen as Montgomery Gator, sophomores as Foxy, juniors as Chica, and seniors as Bonnie.
Freshman Sabrina Phan, who also performed with the cheer team, shared her thoughts on the CLASH theme reveal. She felt that the theme was a decent choice, while the character choices could have been better. “I think the theme itself was okay, but I feel like the freshmen should’ve gotten a better character. All the other classes got main characters, and we got a gator.”
With fun games, performances, and the reveal of the CLASH theme, the Spring Rally was the beginning for an exciting and full of wins spring season.
