On May 9th, 2025 San Dimas High School had its annual Clash games. This year’s theme being Five Nights at Freddy’s. Each grade was very hyped for the night to go on performing their best to try and come out with the win. In the end, the Seniors came out on top with the trophy, having a total of 903 points, with the juniors not too far behind with 881 points for 2nd place , sophomores coming in 3rd place, and freshmen in last with 738 points.
The Seniors started off with the advantage having the most points out of all the grades.Clash started off with the game Kajabe Can Can being the 1st game of the night, having a total of 4 matches, 2 girls, and 2 boys from each grade. The girls started first, The crowd was hyped for Clash to begin, and when Dr. Nix called ready, set, go each grade’s volunteers for the game yanked on the ropes, trying to get each other out. The final match of Kajabe Can Can was very intense. The last 2 competitors standing were the Sophomores and the Freshmen. They fought for a while and were both visibly exhausted from the previous matches, but the freshmen were eager to win and yanked the rope from the sophomores ending the game with freshmen gaining 50 points.
After the the 1st round of games the infamous Clash Dances began. Each grade had been practicing their dances for weeks and were finally anxious to perform. At the end of the dances the judges delivered their finals verdict. Sophomores landed at the bottom of the board, the Juniors and Seniors tied for 2nd place and shockingly, the Freshmen came out on top with the win for the best clash Dance. There were a lot more games to end the night but at the end of the night seniors had the most points at the end leaving them winning their last clash of high school for them.
After Clash I interviewed a few students from each grades about how they felt clash was for them and Junior Dean Ruiz said “Clash was fun and I enjoyed it, I thought that we were going to win though. It started off fun when I won my game, Kajabe Can Can, after it was fun watching the games with my friends. Even watching my friends compete and do the dance was funny to see. Overall it was a fun experience and I can’t wait for next year when our class wins it all”. And for the sophomores Devin Gonzales said “Clash was a fun night and it was fun with my friend it got better after I won tire tug it was a good time over all especially when things were becoming competitive”. And for the freshman Liam Aldana said”During Clash the energy from the environment around the freshman was fulfilling and was inspiring it was a great experience for my 1st year”
Clash was a very fun night with each grades trying to win to put themselves on top of the board, it was filled with lots of exciting moments and surprising results at the end with lots of competition making the night very memorable for everyone there.
