2. The Umbrella Academy: The show The Umbrella Academy is about seven specially picked children who happened to be unexpectedly born on the same day. Sir Reginald Hargreeves takes them into his “Umbrella Academy” to try to prepare the kids for the disaster, or the apocalypse, that is to come in the future. The show expresses many aspects of life that we all deal with, while still presenting many action filled scenes. The siblings all work together to solve mysteries and save the world while learning the importance of family.

3. A Series of Unfortunate Events: One of the more dark comedies on Netflix, is A Series Of Unfortunate Events is based on the books by Lemony Snicket. Three children: Violet, Sunny, and Klaus Baudelaire become orphans after a strange fire occurs in their mansion. When the children arrive at their home, Mr. Poe, from Mortuary Money Management, tells them, “Your parents have perished in a terrible fire”. All three children are shocked they are left in the care of Count Olaf. In all 13 episodes, the 3 children are left with a new caretaker. Each of these caretakers is part of the secret cult called V.F.D (Volunteer Fire Department). Throughout the series, Violet, Sunny, and Klaus will discover the reason for V.F.D and their parents mysteriously vanishing. They will learn what their main purpose is through their continuous “Series of Unfortunate Events.”

4. The Glow: A more empowering series Netflix has offered is The Glow. The Glow takes place during the 1980s in which struggling actress, Ruth Wilder, will not be stopped by anything to get the role for a television show or movie. She is a strange addition for the television show called the Gorgeous Women of Wrestling created by Sam Sylvia who is also struggling to put the show together. Each of the women who are in the show realizes that they have their own battles they need to fight throughout the series and will learn who they truly are.
