Humans of SD – Jake Muse

October 2, 2018

“It all started when I had just moved into my new house since a lot of my stuff hadn’t arrived or been unpacked, I’d wander around outside and look for something cool to do. By going out and exploring, I’ve found so many hidden spots that people normally would miss. There’s this one spot that’s covered in thorny ivy, but once you cross it, its a flat open area next to a small creek. Water has always been so cool to me, I specifically enjoy when there’s water flowing. To be honest, I think it’s more of me being able to hear the sound of moving water, and the calming background noise it creates that really clears my mind. I often hang out at the beach at Bonelli park around sunset. It’s the still feeling of seeing and hearing the gentle waves and feeling the cool breeze that I love so much. To be able to gather my thoughts when I’m surrounded by nature, I feel it’s almost meditative in a way. Every now and then I even get to see some wild animals. They’re usually dead though.”
