San Dimas Girls Volleyball Expected to Go Far In CIF
An Undefeated Season
October 25, 2021
As the 2021 volleyball season comes to an end, the Saints girls varsity team ends with a powerful record. This past season the varsity girls exemplified their skill over other teams in the league and led an undefeated season.
The girls volleyball team credits their successes to their ability to work as a team, playing for each other. Senior Kelsey Barrett, one of the two captains on the Varsity roster gives recognition to the team, “We kept our heads in the game. The team was always looking for ways to get better and tremendous progress could be seen. Staying positive and remaining consistent is what allowed us to stay undefeated throughout the league.”
Varsity volleyball has always been strong throughout the years, however with the recent league change the volleyball team was faced with new teams, which provided new opportunities.
The addition of new opponents did not phase San Dimas and they continued towards their path to victory. Girls fought for their positions and worked hard throughout summer into the fall season. The strong coaching staff and support from the fellow Saints motivated the girls and kept them going. Due to such a strong season, girls volleyball will be battling against other schools throughout California for the CIF 2021 title. Statistically the Saints are predicted to get the win over the 12-5 Elsinore Girls Varsity team on Thursday October 21st. Senior Alexa Guzman shares her feelings regarding the first game, “I am a little nervous however I am confident in my skill level, I trust my teammates and our ability to play as a team. We all connect very well with each other and have a strong vibe on the court.” Guzman feels very confident in her team and their potential together.
The San Dimas Varsity girls have proven their skill level to multiple teams and are feared by many. They will take home the CIF title if they keep playing with the intensity that led them to their undefeated season.
