Santa Isn’t Real
Saints realizing Santa Claus is a phony.

It’s that time of year again where we hang up those stockings and decorate our trees. Telling those holiday stories while waiting for Santa Claus to appear and bring the cheer, but the one big question is he real? Some of our other Saints have caught Santa in the act and have a different story to tell.
One of the traditional ways of meeting Santa is by sitting on his lap and telling him about all the gifts you want. Throughout Alyssa’s childhood, her family had Santa stop by her house each Christmas Eve. “One year my cousins and I noticed that my cousin Calvin was never there when Santa came and then we put to and to together, he dressed up as Santa Claus. I also noticed that “Santa’s” handwriting was the exact same as Calvin which confirmed Santa wasn’t real”, Alyssa Gomez, Senior, says. Alyssa and her cousins had real detective skills that helped them figure it out.
Unfortunately for Sofia, her encounter with sitting on Santa’s lap was a little bit more traumatic. “I was sitting on Santa’s lap when it happened. I was telling him what I wanted and I accidentally pulled down his beard and it ended up being my uncle; I felt very betrayed”, Sofia Gonzalez, Senior, says. While some of us find it to be betraying after revealing Santa’s true identity, others find the encounter hilarious.
While presents are being bought, wrapped, and stored you always have those noise kids looking about. Jessie was on the hunt for his Christmas presents when he stumbled upon his parents closet. “I went into their closet and all the presents were there. I looked at the tags and saw they were from Santa, at first I was confused on how they got there, but then I realized they were from my parents”, Jessie Samec, Senior, says. With the realization that our parents are behind 90% of Santa’s “intentions” the dots start to connect and make scenes.
Even though some Saints have been tricked or lied to about the true identity of Santa Claus he’s always brought us closer together. With that being said, have a Merry little Christmas and a happy New Year Saints!
