GNX by Kendrick Lamar, Hurry Up Tomorrow by The Weekend, and The Life of a Showgirl by Taylor Swift were all successful studio albums released in 2025. In 2026, we’ll see a whole new set of albums from many of the top artists in the industry. Some of the most anticipated ones are Cloud 9 by Megan Moroney, The Romantic by Bruno Mars, Don’t Be Dumb by Asap Rocky, Wuthering Heights by Charli XCX, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally by Harry Styles, and With Heaven on Top by Zach Bryan, and so much more.
Starting in the genre of country music, 28-year-old rising singer-songwriter Megan Moroney announced her third studio album, Cloud 9, coming out Feb. 20. Moroney’s albums are known for having a specific corresponding color, such as green being the color for her debut album Lucky, and blue being the color for her second studio album Am I Okay; For Cloud 9, the corresponding color for it is pink, meaning the Moroney fans have entered into her pink era. Moroney released some CDs and merch for preorder, and a tour was announced for May to October 2026. The setlist was already revealed, and one of the songs, “I Only Miss You,” featured pop sensation Ed Sheeran, making the fans more than excited to play the album on their radios.
One of music’s biggest male pop artists, known for hits such as “That’s What I Like” and “Die with a Smile,” Bruno Mars has also announced a new upcoming album, The Romantic, his first solo studio album since 2016. The album is set to come out Feb. 26, and, just like Moroney, he has merch available for preorder and plans to do a concert tour from April to October 2026. Mars already released his first single for the album, “I Just Might,” on Jan. 9, and the fans are already loving it. Junior Sophie Attala, who has been a big fan of Mars for almost 2 years, is looking forward to The Romantic, with hopes for the album to be “as good as and have the same vibes as the single he just released,” displaying fans’ desire for Mars to present his fun and charismatic charm that he has in his previous music.
Rapper and record producer A$AP Rocky, known for his 2011 debut mixtape, LIVE. LOVE. A$AP announced his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, which was released on Jan. 16, 2026. The lead single from the album’s 17 songs is “Punk Rocky,” featuring Winona Ryder. Since its release, the album has been #1 on U.S. Apple Music, and before streaming, 130,000 units had already been sold, making Rocky’s comeback album since 2018’s Testing, a success.
Charli XCX, known for her hugely successful summer 2024 hyperpop album Brat, announced another new album, Wuthering Heights, which will serve as the soundtrack to the 2026 film of the same name, inspired by Emily Brontë’s novel. However, this album will differ from the electronic sound Brat presented, transitioning to a gothic, atmospheric, and dark tone aligned with the movie’s plot. The soundtrack album is set to be released the same day as the movie, Feb. 13, the day before Valentine’s Day.
The lead man of One Direction, Harry Styles, announced his fourth studio album, Kiss All.
The Time. Disco. Occasionally, set to be released on Mar. 6 of this year. The album is meant to explore themes of love, growth, and maturity, with disco elements incorporated. Junior Addison Cooper hopes for the album to “have songs that have depth and meaning that are relatable, like some of his previous songs, such as ‘ Fine Line.”
Another big country singer, Zach Bryan, announced and has already released another studio album, With Heaven on Top, which features over 24 songs and one poem. The album explores the importance of difficult experiences in truly developing understanding and the greater outcome in the end. So far, it has debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard and Apple Music country charts, with 130 million streams.
Overall, these upcoming or released albums proved that 2026 is the year of new, memorable, and exciting music for everyone to listen to and enjoy.
