On Thursday, April 9th, San Dimas girls’ softball faced Colony at home for the 2026 senior night. The score was 10-7.
For the seniors, it wasn’t just about who won the game; it was about playing one of their last home games together. Senior Savannah Clelland says, “ I feel sad that this was one of the last times playing on our home field, but I was happy we won because I didn’t want to go out on a bad hand.”
The saints played hard after Tiffany Villegas doubled, scoring one run, Audrey Schlim doubled, scoring two runs, and Graciela Alt-Ambriz grounded out, scoring one run.
San Dimas Varsity Saints got one more run in the third inning. Schlim singled to center field on an 0-2 count, making the score 5-2. For the Saints, they needed to stay calm and relax to win the game, and that’s exactly what they did. They kept scoring in every inning, which helped them hold the lead.
San Dimas Varsity Saints scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to left field by sophomore Mia Patlan. This changed the momentum of the game.
Brooke D’Amato earned the win for San Dimas Varsity Saints as the starting pitcher gave up eight hits and seven runs, five earned over seven innings, striking out one and walking seven. Pitching all seven innings is hard because you need heart and dedication. As a senior, she said, “ I have put all my dedication and time into this program.”#12 took the loss for Colony. The pitcher went six innings, allowing 10 runs, nine earned, on 12 hits, striking out four and walking two.

From the coaches, “Class of 2026, I want to thank you for all the dedication, countless hours, and support you have put into this program. 4 long but unforgettable years at San Dimas High School are now coming to an end, but we’d like to say….. All five of you guys have left a lasting impact not only on the girls but also on the softball program at San Dimas.
Best of luck in your future; you will spend the next four years in a new program, shining and grinding just as you did as a saint.
