This year’s Homecoming, A Night At Gatsby’s, held on October 18th, 2025 was a night to remember, with flashing lights bouncing off the ballroom floor and with music that kept everyone hyped from start to finish. Compared to the last dance, the Neon Foam Dance, Homecoming brought the energy and the same level of excitement and engagement throughout the whole night.
Walking through the doors of Gatsby’s mansion, students were instantly transported into a whole new world of roaring energy and golden-age party glamour. Music filled every corner of the venue, drawing people toward its irresistible allure. The ballroom became the spot – packed with students from start to finish with people dancing, laughing, and living completely in the moment. The dance floor was magnetic. It was alive. Lights flashed endlessly and the crowd moved as one. People who told themselves they would “just chill” for the night quickly found themselves pulled in the middle of the crowd dancing with friends and even strangers alike. The dance floor was the heartbeat of the night – loud, unstoppable, and impossible to walk away from.
Upstairs, the energy didn’t fade for a second. The balcony gave students a bird’s-eye view of the chaotic yet captivating dance floor below – lights flashing, people jumping, and music pumping through the walls. But instead of just spectating, the crowd upstairs made their own scene – getting just as lit and engaged as those below, making their own hype dancing along. At one point, the students on the dance floor shifted their attention upward, drawn to a particular student dancing on the balcony floor. There were lots of “ayes,” lots of phones, and lots of vibes.
The DJ understood the assignment perfectly. Blending this generation’s hits with timeless classics, he kept the crowd moving with artists like Ken Carson, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and even Usher. Every single music choice was intentional. Each song flowed into the next and every beat kept the crowd on their feet. The music being played didn’t just fill the space – it controlled it.
There was something in the air that night – the kind of energy that people get drawn to in the moment, making people forget about all else and just stay in the present. The floor was pulsating with life with everywhere you can look there were smiles, laughter, and people lost in the sound.
“It was a movie,” senior Isaiah Capacete said, describing how that night made every moment feel larger than it was, like he was living in a scene that would only happen on the big screen. The lights, the crowd, and the music blended into a night he had only ever imagined. “The floor was alive and the music made me forget it would end,” added senior Avery Navarro, entranced by the beat of the music and the atmosphere that made time feel like it stopped.
