At San Dimas High School, Ms. McGill is best known for her valuable math lessons her students can enjoy and learn from. But when school is over, her workday doesn’t end. This past year Ms. McGill has gotten more recognition for being “Mrs. Mathy”, with a growing following, and has become a rising TikTok influencer. She shares her knowledge through her platform and even engages in positive ways to support other creators while building her account. Ms. McGill creates content that blends humor, motivation, and real-life honesty to help others grow a platform. Ms. McGill’s side hustle isn’t just about views or followers; it is about providing support and building relationships that sustain her passion.

After a full day of teaching, Ms. McGill continues working with a deep sense of purpose that guides her both in the classroom and online. Her TikTok presence helps her connect with people who search for encouragement or clarity in subjects they once found confusing. Speaking about her passion for teaching, she explained, “I wanna [sic] make a difference in kids’ lives and I feel like I have a purpose.” This belief shapes the way she teaches and how she supports her students, and it also influences the videos she creates for viewers who appreciate her gift to teaching in and out of the classroom.
