San Dimas Chamber Choir kicked off the 2025 holiday season with festive caroling across the city, with heartfelt performances at Claremont Manor Retirement Community on the 11th and the Daughters of the American Revolution State Society Headquarters on the 13th, spreading music and cheer to audiences of all ages.
The Chamber Choir’s visit to Claremont Manor proved to be one of the most memorable highlights of the season. Residents gathered early to fill the common room, and many were visibly moved as the students delivered a polished, joyful program. Featured soloists Leanne Flores, Isabelle Price, and Abigail Lawrence each drew applause, their voices carrying through the hall with deep expression. Staff members praised the choir for putting on an amazing show that raised holiday spirits in the community.
This performance also marked a meaningful milestone for the seniors in the ensemble: it was their final time presenting San Dimas High School’s beloved special arrangement of the traditional Silent Night. As the familiar harmonies layered over one another, residents marveled at how stunning the performance was.
“What makes caroling so valuable, from a choir perspective, is the performance aspect of it,” the choir president Abigail Lawrence clarifies. “Caroling is different. It’s not high maintenance or as demanding as a concert, but it’s not as relaxed or as forgiving as a rehearsal. It’s a beautiful in-between that allows us to grow under pressure as musicians, but also takes away any of that pressure that could potentially stress us out; all while happening to spread the joy of the season.”

The Chamber Choir’s appearance at the Daughters of the American Revolution California State Society Headquarters on December 13th exhibited the ensemble’s versatility and poise in a more formal setting. Their carefully prepared selections resonated throughout the historic venue, earning appreciative smiles and applause from members in attendance.
The students’ focus and expressive singing reflected months of rehearsal, multiplying the gathering’s holiday cheer. The visit concluded with a mini featured performance, which provided a memorable finale that was warmly received and left the audience with lasting seasonal joy.
