“It was a honor to be named Homecoming King, and I throughly enjoyed the whole experience” – Ryan Li (12)
As the 2025 semester wraps up, let’s take a look back on the growth and achievements the Saints displayed.
To kick off the new school year, the Neon Foam dance took place, but it was not as successful as in previous years. The Neon Foam dance is known for its loud, screaming music and fun foam to dance around in, but that thrill was not delivered. The DJ failed to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone, playing songs that just didn’t fit the vibe.
Just as the dance started, it was quickly brought to a end. Following this experience, the Saints were nervous about the next big dance: Homecoming, but contrarily it was a smashing success. The classy theme paired with a stunning venue created the perfect vibe for everyone to enjoy. Not only that, the music was enjoyable and the DJ quickly accommodated based on the crowds reactions. This year also brought an exciting highlight as we crowned our 2025 Homecoming Queen, Alina Quintanilla, and King, Ryan Li. Despite campaigning for only one day, both were pleasantly surprised and honored to hold these titles. Additionally, Dr. Redfox—a Saint favorite— was given the title 2025 Grand Marshal, a well deserved honor hat displays her dedication to her students in the classroom
“It fells unreal that I will be attending one of the top universities and I can’t wait for all the endless opportunities waiting for me” – Jackie Chen (11).
Academically, the Saints have been succeeding exponentially. Just within this semester, two junior athletes—softball player Tiffany Villegas and diver Jackie Chen—have both been committed to the application process at Harvard University, a significant honor and a testament to their years of hard work both inside and outside of the classroom.
Following these successes, three seniors have committed to various schools based on their outstanding performance and dedication to their sports: Ava Aguilar committed to Regis University for soccer, Lou Farias committed to Nazarene University for baseball, and Audrey Schlim committed to Portland State University for softball. These Saints have shown their hardworking dedication to their sports and their academics.
Continuing on athletic success, the Saints crushed Bonita in multiple matchups, with girls’ volleyball, wrestling, and flag football reigning and asserting control in the rivalry. The Saints’ flag football game against Bonita was also hosted by the Los Angeles Rams—an exciting honor—with both teams receiving $1,000 to support their athletic programs. Additionally, our girls’ golf team were League Champions and qualified to Division 4 CIF for the first time in San Dimas history. They also sent three individual competitors: Jocelyn River (12), Mya Castaneda (10), and Sophia Ingrin (12), all of whom shined by showcasing their hard work and dedication to the sport.
This semester, the Saints have hosted many successful Food Frenzies, all which raised money to support our various clubs on campus. Some clubs that have been on the rise this semester is: FCA (Fellow Christian Athletes), Asian Association, Mathletes, Spanish Honors society, amongst many others. Link crew successfully ran Coca and Cram to support the freshman class during their first finals in high school by providing comforting cups of cocoa while aiding them in their studies.
“The Saints have been absolutely killing it,” Assistant Principal Dr. Nix said as she raved about all the spectacular programs that has been thriving this semester. She also said, “I know if first semester is this awesome, I can’t wait to see what second semester brings.”
Overall, the Saints have had a well diverse and smashing semester, both inside and out of the classroom. Every success reflects the hard work that displays our Saint values.
