San Dimas High School presented Cinderella during the last week of January at the Bonita Center for the Arts. The classic fairytale came to life on stage, with music, dancing, and memorable scenes that captivated the audience. Families and the community attended to enjoy the show, celebrate the cast, and support their fellow Saints in a fun and exciting theater experience. The Saints worked hard to create a production for everyone to watch and enjoy, and were credited for all of their efforts with support and the spotlight.
This whimsical production also brought something special and new to the stage, adding a true “Saint spark” that made the story feel fresh and original. Throughout the show, the students sang their hearts out and performed with confidence, making each scene feel magical and full of life. Many students and families came out to support the Saints, filling the audience with excitement, applause, and school pride. The stage was filled with supportive cast members that shared roles and took turns cheering each other on. The connection between the cast was embraced on stage, creating a beautiful version of Cinderella.
The production entertained everyone, but a highlight of the night was how invested the audience was. The play elicited laughter throughout and added humor to the most well-known moments in Cinderella.
Cinderella also included performers from various ages and grade levels. This defining factor was what Vice Principal Ms. Jackson said made the production so special. Jackson stated that “this production [was] especially meaningful for the way it brought together students from our elementary, middle, and high schools. Seeing students across grade levels collaborate, perform, and support one another was a powerful reminder of the strong San Dimas community we are building together.”
From the dramatic transformation scene to the excitement of the royal ball, the audience stayed engaged and reacted with genuine emotion. The costumes and lighting helped set the mood for each scene, making the stage feel magical and entertaining. These details made the production feel professional and helped the audience connect even more with the story.

Behind the scenes, the cast and crew put in incredible effort. They spent long, tiring hours rehearsing and practicing choreography every day to perfect every detail, but they stayed motivated by the strong bonds they formed together.
Abigail Lawrence, who played Cinderella (along with Emily Nazeck), shared how supportive the environment was, noting that “the castmates were just there to support you,” which helped make the long hours feel less stressful. She shared that their goal was simple: to make their own “spin” on Cinderella and create a show that people could truly enjoy. In the end, the play brought the community together for a night of fun, music, and unforgettable memories.
