With Spring break coming our way, students at San Dimas are looking forward to their time off. Students are planning on traveling, spending time with family and so much more. We are going to be asking students around San Dimas to see what kind of plan they have.
As spring break keeps getting closer and closer, students are beginning to talk about their plans. Students around campus are looking for the excitement that they don’t have to do any of their homework, relax and take a break from the difficult activities they may pose from school, while others may take this as an opportunity to make time to create new memories with their friends by being extremely productive during spring break.
According to Senior Lexington Melching, she says, “I plan on going to the beach and being able to get a good tan” as she wants to also “hobby max.”
Some students, on the other hand, other students plan on staying local and resting during the break. Senior Ben Scott says, “I don’t plan on doing much, but I think i’m gonna work out, be working at Trader Joe’s, and maybe get some food.”
Not only is the break beneficial for students, but it is also beneficial for teachers. They can use this time for a good mental break, but also for time to take a break from instructing and from grading students’ work.
During spring break, it is common to see many seniors preparing for their military positions, as some plan to branch out into roles that may be deployed later this year. Senior Nathan Ramierez is planning on “training to join the special warfare selection” as he is preparing to ship out to the Air Force later in the summer.
It doesn’t matter how students or teachers spend this time; spring break is something that people from all around should look forward to as you can do a range from being productive all the way to being lazy and just taking a break from all the stress and work that they may have to do as they would have to if they were in school.
